ok. so i've just discovered something amazing about Dr. Shapiro. She began practicing medicine in 1942.
SHE BEGAN PRACTICING MEDICINE IN 1942.
not only does that make her one of the first female doctors, but it also makes her something like 85 years old.
and also Marna, the receptionist extraordinaire i work with (who is around 55ish) just realized today that this same Dr. Irene Shapiro WAS HER PEDIATRICIAN!!
i'm sorry for the capitalization, but it's insane.

I still say that if you try to go back to her office, it won't be there. Everyone will deny her existence and you will go mad, slowly, very slowly. Mommy

I think Mrs. Claire has a very good point which I am embarassed I didn't think of.
Everyone's going to be like "Dr. Shapiro hasn't been alive for 20 years." and the building won't be there. When you take her card out of your wallet, it will turn to dust and flit away in the wind.
